Derby 2-15-2009

I felt a little better this week and it was as killer on the slow part. But I can feel the long Saturday rides still in my legs on Sunday mornings. Probably because I'm not doing enough miles during the week. It was a pretty fast from the start it looked like a group of 8 - 15 guys went off the front pretty quick. I stayed with the second group until the bottom of the Topton hill, but when I fell off I feel off hard. I rode pretty hard until Mertztown then soft pedaled to where we the last turn and didn't see anyone so I rode back via Trexler Rd got to the coffee shop just after 12:00 and didn't see anyone there so I headed home where I saw Kevin, Jason and a few other guys headed backover Topton hill. There was a nice head wind on Fleetwood-Lyons Road heading home but I could used the hard miles. See you guys next Saturday.

the derby was pretty brutal. i was 6th man out on topton road, and when they accelerated i couldn't hold it. i ended up in the wind a lot, but i got to work hard and hopefully get a little more fitness. i ended up riding in the second group on the road with about 30 guys.
then to the topton coffee shop, sorry we missed you doug, and then the ride back to oley. maybe less wind next week ???
